About Us

Welcome to Shri Sai Baba Memorial, Lodhi Road, New Delhi

The Sai Baba Temple on Lodhi Road, managed by Shri Sai Bhakta Samaj (Regd.), is one of Northern India's oldest and most revered Shirdi Sai Baba shrines.

Established in October 1968, Shri Sai Bhakta Samaj (Regd.) began with a humble vision: to spread the timeless message of love, selfless service, and spiritual harmony preached by Shirdi Sai Baba. What started in a modest rented room grew through the devotion of early followers, resulting in the construction of the first Shirdi Sai Baba Memorial in Northern India on Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

Aims & Objects of the Samaj

Our Objectives

The Shri Sai Bhakta Samaj (Regd.) has been established as a Society with the following amongst other aims and objects of the Samaj:

Universal Brotherhood

To spread and propagate amongst the public in General and Devotees of Shri Sai Baba, Shirdi in particular the spirit of Universal Brotherhood, or religious Toleration as embodied in Sai Bhakti amongst the people without distinction of caste, creed and religion who otherwise believe in the high Principles of conduct and character as preached by Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi during his life and thereafter being preached and are being preached, propagated and practised by Shri Sai Baba’s disciples and devotees.

Spreading Baba’s Teachings

To propagate by preaching the teachings and noble ideals preached by Shri Sai Baba and embodied in the various discourses given by Him, by various means as conducting and publishing magazines, periodicals, leaflets and books comprising those noble teachings and ideals and by arranging discourses, lectures and Bhajans and by having recourse to all other such public and private communications oral or otherwise with the object and with a view to spread the said teaching and ideals practised and laid down by Shri Sai Baba Shirdi.

Service to Humanity

To promote and carry out services of all kinds which the said Holy Shri Sai Baba had rendered to humanity during his life time and which his disciples and devotees have been rendering even now guided and inspired by his spiritual power in this Universe by establishing institutions such Bhajan Mandals and other such like institutions.

Promoting Sai Bhakti

To propagate Shri Sai Baba’s teachings and ideals and spread and promote by diverse and all possible means ‘Sai Bhakti’ Sai Baba’s universal principles and tenets of conduct, charity and devotion without distinction of caste, creed, colour and religion amongst the people at large.

Education & Libraries

To establish Educational and other Institutions, Libraries, Regional Centres etc. to impart universal religion, education embodied with in Sai Bhakti with cultural but without sectarian bias consistent with principles of Universal Brotherhood.

Hospitals & Dharamshalas

To set up Hospitals, Clinics, Dharamshalas and other institutions to help the poor and distressed and to relieve human suffering and improve standard of living and conduct among the people in general and devotees and disciples of Shri Sai Baba in particular.

Unity & National Integration

To preach and promote unity among people belonging to different religions, castes, creeds, sects etc. and work towards national integration and general wellbeing of the people.

Memorials & Prayer Halls

To construct buildings, assembly and prayer halls, Pakka or kachha Memorials of Shri Sai Baba or places of worship of the like nature in sacred memory of Shri Sai Baba as ancillary and accessory to the achievement of the above objects.

The objects of the Samaj extend to the whole of India and other parts and countries of the world for the benefit of the humanity including their devotees and disciples of Shri Sai Baba irrespective of any caste, creed, sect or religion.
